HAIR MASKS
Hair masks, what exactly are they and what is their function, are not as well-known as their close relatives, conditioners, and certainly not as famous as the members of their extended family, shampoos.

When those interested in hair care (but not professionals) think of a hair mask, they often think of a much more powerful and intense type of conditioner. And to a large extent, that’s correct.

Hair masks are treatments formulated with essential oils, plant butters, and other nourishing ingredients. They spend more time penetrating the hair, hydrating and nourishing it, compared to regular shampoos or conditioners.

Their benefits are absolutely impressive: deep nutrition, hair strengthening, intense hydration, luminosity, shine, prevention of hair loss, and a firming effect. In short: healthy and strong hair.

They can also address specific hair problems. The most elaborate and effective masks tend to be rich in hydrating and restorative ingredients. The right one for you depends on your hair type and specific needs.

There are masks for straight, curly, wavy, fine, dry, damaged, or color-treated hair.

A hair mask is necessary. Unconsciously, we mistreat our hair a lot: exposing it to the sun and other external elements, styling it, applying heat, coloring it, etc. It’s natural and fair that we want to care for and repair it.

At this point, how does it differ from a conditioner? A conditioner is used to hydrate the hair and make it soft after it’s been properly cleaned with shampoo. Its texture is usually lighter than a hair mask.

A hair mask goes further: it helps restore the optimal state of the hair fiber, deeply hydrating and nourishing it. It’s easy to incorporate into your hair care routine and often replaces conditioner.

At Kyara Lambert, we’ve chosen this solution. The mask as the unique and irreplaceable complement to shampoo. We believe it’s unnecessary to do in three steps what can be achieved in two with full satisfaction.

How should a hair mask be used?
As the first step, wash your hair with shampoo and rinse it clean. Then, while the hair is still wet, apply the hair mask.

Leave it on the hair for at least 5 minutes. Hair masks require resting time for the product to provide the expected nourishment.

If the hair is very dry or dehydrated, leave the mask on the wet hair for longer, 10-15 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cold water to remove any remaining product.

Finally, dry your hair with a towel and style as usual. Incorporating the mask into your hair care routine will reveal that the results are well worth the extra time.
